Brian is 12 weeks old!!

My sweet boy is 12 weeks old today. He will be officially three months old on Saturday the 23rd. He is doing so many new and fun things! We love to see what he is going to do next. He has found his hands, feet, and legs. He is starting to try to grab toys and objects in front of him but he is still working on that. He hasn't laughed yet but squeals a lot. I'm trying so hard to make him laugh and he just stares at me like I'm crazy. He started to officially sleep through the night at 9 weeks. He sleeps from 9:00pm to 5:30 or 6:00am. Sometimes he sleeps later but I actaully like that he will get up before I leave for work. That way I can feed him before I leave and have some one on one time with him. I go back to work starting tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it. I originally thought I was excited to work again (I do love my job) but I won't see Brian nearly enough. That makes me sad. I'm going to miss this little guy so much!! Here are some funny pictures of him!

He loves to stare at his fists and hold his arms straight out like this!!

His first baseball uniform!

He likes to lay with his arms extended out like this. It's so funny!

Another couple of firsts

My sweet baby is doing something new again!! Looks like he is going to be a thumbsucker. He's been trying to do this for a while and has officially gotten the hang of it. Last night he didn't get me up at all. Finally at 5:30am I got worried so I checked on him. He was just laying in his crib sucking his thumb. He wasn't asleep though so it kind of worries me. I have a video monitor so I can see what he is doing and he sucked his thumb from 4:00am until I finally got up at 5:30am. I hate the thought of him laying in his crib just sucking his thumb for that long and not going back to sleep but I guess he would cry if he really needed me. And of course I'm thankful for the full nights rest!!! Here is a great picture of him sucking his thumb.

Little BB had another first. He went to his first ball game. John started his spring season with the softball team he plays on every year and this was the first time Brian got to experience a ball park. In a few years he will be playing T-ball and then baseball (if John has anything to say about it). For now, my baby boy will just have to settle for sitting in the stands while mommy talks with the other wives. In case you are wondering, the team lost by one run but we are confident they will win the next one!!!

John with his friends, Ryan and Ken. The little one in Ken's arms is Brooklyn and the little guy trailing behind is Blake.

Brian slept through the whole game. It was kind of late for him.
