Brian is one month old today. I can't believe it has been a whole month. Life has changed so much. Brian is starting to smile at everything. He's sleeping pretty good at night and starting to stay up longer during the day. John goes back to work this week and is disappointed he can't stay home longer with little B. Mommy and baby are both going to miss having him around all the time. My little B is still in newborn diapers but will be changing out of those in the next week or so and I have already started going through his clothing and taking stuff out of his drawers that doesn't fit any longer. How sad!! My little guy is already growing up.

Here is Brian with all of his cousins. Alexandra (top picture), Miquela, Jackson, Maxwell, Raven, and Cody (bottom picture). So far, he only has cousins on Jamie's side of the family. Looks like he will have plenty of kids to take care of him as he gets older. Jamie's youngest sister, Sarah, is pregnant right now so Brian will have another little cousin that is closer to his age. She is due in September. Yah!!!!

Here are Brian's very first smiles caught on camera. John was making him smile by talking to him. He really likes to smile at his mommy, daddy, aunt Liz, aunt Sarah and grandpa Mike. I'm sure he will be smiling at everyone very soon. I think this might be the sweetest smile I've ever seen!! I guess I'm biased though!!!

This is Brian's first outing to the zoo and also his first time in his carrier that John has been so excited to use. Jamie's sister, Bri, was in town with her two boys and husband (Max, Jack, and Rob) and we all decided to go to the zoo. Jamie's other sister, Michaelene and two of her kids, Raven and Miquela also came along. Brian of course slept the whole time but it was fun anyway.

Brian is 3 weeks old today and his daddy already has him ready to follow in his foot steps. Mommy isn't sure about that yet. He looks sooooo cute though.

The new flagpole

For everyone who contributed to Brian's (John's dad) retirement gift, here it is!! While Colter, Sandy, and Korbin were in town, we all got together at Brian's house and put the flagpole up. It looks awesome!! The only thing that John, Ben, and Colter had to do was put the flagpole up because Brian had already put the platform in by himself.

Brian is with his best friend Korbin. It's their first picture together, and yes, they are holding a gun. Grandpa Brian bought his grandson his first pistol just for being born. Looks like Korbin is more interested in it than Brian at the moment but we all know that will change. Brian is John's son afterall. We had a lot of fun with Korbin and his parents, Colter and Sandy (two of our very best friends) when they came out from Grand Junction to celebrate Brian's birth.
