First shower and 2 month appointment

Brian had another first today. He started his day with his first real shower with daddy. Below are a couple of pictures of it. He seemed to really like it. He's a slippery little guy when he is all soaped up. Daddy got the hang of it after a while though and said it was the best shower he has ever taken.

Then Brian had his two month appointment today and he is getting so huge. He weighs 12 pounds 5 ounces which is almost double what he weighed when he was born. He is on the 61 percentile for weight. That doesn't seem too bad until I looked back and realized that he was on the 36th percentile for weight at one month. I freaked out thinking that we had to be feeding him too much. Then the doctor looked at his height and he is now 24 1/4 inches. He has grown 4 inches in 2 months!!!! He is on the 87th percentile for height. The doctor says that he actually doesn't weigh very much for his height. So apparently I have a very big boy on my hands!!!! He's so tall that his weight is just fine. Anyway, the doc says that he is doing really well and that we are taking very good care of him. John says that he will be eating steak and potatoes in no time. Last, Brian got his first set of shots today. The poor little guy didn't know what hit him and he cried like I have never seen him cry before. After a lot of soothing from mommy and daddy (and a little Tylenol for the pain) he was fine. In fact, the Tylenol has pretty much put him out for the night.

All American Boy

Brian is 2 months old today!!!!

Little BB is 2 months old today and we went to have his 2 month pictures taken. We think they turned out great!! He is starting to hold his head up really high as you can see in the pictures. He changed from newborn diapers to stage one diapers last week. He is talking and cooing a lot. He has such a sweet voice. He smiles at his mommy and daddy all the time. I moved Brian to his nursery shortly after he was one month old so that I couldn't hear all of his little noises at night. I wasn't getting any sleep!! It's working out a lot better for us. Now he only gets up once a night and I'm working on getting him to sleep through the night by the time I go back to work. I only have 4 weeks left at home with him! Enjoy the pictures.

Brian's 1st Holiday........Easter!!!!!

Happy little BB in his Easter outfit. Brian is 7 weeks old tomorrow and this is his first holiday. We went to church this morning and after John woke up, we went to Jamie's mom's home to celebrate Easter. This is the first Easter without grandpa Bill and we miss him so much!! Easter was his favorite holiday. For those of you who don't know, Brian's middle name is William after grandpa Bill. He was a very special man and little BB will be honored to have his name.
